Sharing your Video (camera) within Zoom

Enabling your video/camera within Zoom can be done before a Zoom meeting begins or during a meeting. Sharing your video adds presence to any meeting or presentation.

If you are using Zoom within your course your instructor may ask you to share your camera/video as part of the assignment requirements.

Before the meeting begins

This method of testing your video and camera settings will use the Zoom desktop application.  The Zoom application is a separate download and installation.

You can test your video camera in Zoom before joining a meeting by using your Zoom desktop application.  Sign in to the Zoom client.

Click your profile picture then click Settings.

Click the Video tab.

You will see a preview of your camera.

If you don't see your camera's video, click the drop-down menu and select another camera.

If you need to rotate your image then click in the upper right-hand corner.

During a meeting

Click the arrow next to Start Video/Stop Video

Select Video Settings

Zoom will display your camera's video and settings.

If you don't see your camera's video, click the drop-down menu and select another camera.

If you need to rotate your image then click in the upper right-hand corner.
