Adobe Acrobat makes it easy to complete and sign documents—even when they aren’t set up as fillable forms. This guide shows you how to add text to a flat (non-fillable) PDF and place your signature using simple built-in tools.

How to Add Text and Sign Documents
Step 1: Access Adobe Acrobat Online
- Go to acrobat.adobe.com
- Sign in with your Adobe account
Step 2: Upload Your File
- In the top menu, click Convert → Convert to PDF
- Drag and drop your file, or click Add a file
- Click Continue
Step 3: Add Text to Your Form
- Open your file in the PDF viewer
- In the left panel, select Text (Type Text)
- Click anywhere on the document
- Start typing
✔ Success! You can now add text to any flat PDF form—no redesign needed.
