In Panopto, you have the ability to add multiple video streams to one video. It's an amazing tool for combining necessary clips or videos into one. We recommend to use this for combining short clips.
If you are looking to compile large videos together, learn how to create a video playlist.
1. Open Panopto Course Videos through Canvas, or directly through alamo.hosted.panopto.com.
2. Locate the video you would like to add another video stream to.
3. You will need to open the video editor. There are two ways to do so:
- Select the Kebab Menu (three vertical dots) > Edit.
- Or select the video > locate pencil icon in viewer > Edit.
4. Before you add another video, select where in the video editor you would like the new clip to appear.
You can do this by moving the position of the red line. Click on a time frame in the video editor, or simply move the green dot to the place you want to add a stream. In this example, we chose to add another video to the end of the video.
5. Once your position is selected, then select Streams > + Add Stream.
6. Drag and drop another video or tap the [+] to choose a video file from your device.
7. Select the video file you want to add.
8. Give the uploaded video some time to process.
9. Once finished processing, the new video will appear in the location you selected.
Be sure to click Apply when you are finished to ensure all changes are saved.
10. Press OK to close video editor and view your edited video in preview mode.
That's it! You can now add multiple clips and video streams to your video and or presentation.
