Import QTI Package in New Quizzes

If you need to export quiz content from your course, you can export quiz content as a QTI ZIP file.

Create a New Quiz

  1. In Course Navigation, click the Quizzes link.
  2. Click the Add Quiz button.
  3. In the Choose a Quiz Engine screen, select the New Quizzes option. Then click the Submit button.
  4. Edit the details for your assessment.
  5. When you are finished, click the Save button.

1. The first step is to open a Canvas Course and click Quizzes.

2. Click Add Quiz

3. Click New Quizzes

4. Click Submit

5. Click Assignment Name

6. Type Assignment Name

Step 6 image

7. Click Points

Step 7 image

8. Type Points

Step 8 image

9. Click Assignments

Step 9 image

10. Select Assignments

Step 10 image

11. Click Save

12. That's it. You're done.

Import Content

Your assessment will open to the Build page [1]. To import content, click the Options icon [2] and select the Import Content option [3].

Import QTI File

To import a QTI file, drag and drop the file [1] or select a file by clicking the Browse button [2].

To start the import, click the Import button [3].

View Import Status

A status bar will display the status of your import.

View Assessment

View your imported assessment.

4. Click More Quiz Actions.

5. Click Import Content.

6. Click Browse.

7. Click Import.

8. Click Done.

9. That's it. You're done.
