Starting a Zoom Meeting as a Host
Zoom Meetings can be started with from the Zoom Desktop App or from the Zoom Website. While both experiences are different, both will open up the Zoom Desktop App, if installed, so you can manage your meeting.
If you are not already signed in, begin by clicking Sign In.
Click Sign In with SSO button.
Enter alamo as the company domain and click Continue.
If you have a non-recurring meeting scheduled, it will display on the Home Screen of the Zoom Desktop App. To start your scheduled meeting, click the Start button.
Alternatively, under the Meetings Page, you have access to all of your meetings, including your Recurring Meetings. You can start a meeting by clicking the Start Button.
To start a meeting from the web, begin by going to the Alamo Colleges District Zoom site and clicking Sign In.
Enter your ACES username and password and click Sign In.
When you sign in to Zoom, you are automatically taken to your Meetings page. Find the meeting you want to initiate, and click the Start Button on the right hand side.
Your web browser will attempt to launch the Zoom Desktop App, if installed. Select Open Zoom Meetings so you can use the full feature set of Zoom.
