Optimize recordings for 3rd party video editing

Updated on

Zoom allows users to download their video recordings and upload them to other cloud-hosting platforms such as Canvas, Mediasite, OneDrive, YouTube, etc.

However, there have been instances where an error or low quality streaming may occur when uploading or editing video (MP4) files on 3rd party sites. This is where enabling the "Optimize the recording for 3rd party video editor" feature might come in handy.

To enable this feature, log in to your Zoom account, then select Settings [1] from the left-hand menu, Recording tab [2], and check the box “Optimize the recording for 3rd party editor” [3], then Save [4].
