Using Turnitin Plagiarism Review within Canvas

This method utilizes Turnitin plagiarism review.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Turnitin integration has already been configured for all Alamo Colleges courses in Canvas, so you simply need to follow the steps below to use it with an assignment.

Create your Canvas assignment. Under "Submission Type", select Online. Check File Uploads or Text Entry.

Choose Online for the Submission Type and check file uploads

In Plagiarism Review area, choose Turnitin from the drop-down menu.

Customize your Turnitin settings for this assignment.

Setting Similarity Report availability

Select Turnitin and the settings for Turnitin

Select Save & publish to publish this assignment or Save to save the assignment.

Three buttons are available: cancel, save and publish, and save

If you encounter an issue with the Similarity Report failing to generate, you can select Resubmit to Turnitin from SpeedGrader, which forces the Similarity Report to generate.
