Creating a New Project in StudyMate

Updated on

Once you've opened StudyMate, click past the Welcome screen to Continue to StudyMate.

Once StudyMate is launched, you'll see a list of your StudyMate projects. If it's your first time opening it, you'll see a sample project you can explore called Age of Discovery. Simply click Create New Project to create a template in which to enter your own facts, definitions, and study items.

Give the project an appropriate title (e.g., Exam 1 Study Guide RESM 7220). It's a good idea to attach course numbers to your titles for future use. You can also choose a template style for your new project.

1. Name your project and give it a brief description.

2. Click here to choose a template.

3. You can choose to order items.

4. There is also an option to to publish to anonymously (not recommended for faculty).

You're now ready to begin entering or importing information for your new study project. Go to the next guide for instructions.

Note: Clicking save does not publish the project to your course. Until you make the project available in your course or share the link, the project is only visible to you. Please see the article Making Content Available and Viewing Usage Statistics for instructions.
