Creating a BioSig assignment and setting Module Requirements
For BioSig to be successful, you will need to create a BioSig assignment and require modules to be checking the BioSig assignments and assessment/paper.
Creating a BioSig Assignment
In your course, click on Assignments in the course navigation. Click on the +Assignment button.
Fill in the Assignment information, but you will need to give this assignment a small amount of points.
Using the Submission Type menu and select "External Tool," click on the Find button.
Scroll until you find "BioSig-ID" and click Select.
Continue to fill out the assignment information. Click Save or Save & Publish.
Add the BioSig assignment and assessment/paper to the same module. The module can contain other items within it but one BioSig assignment and assessment/paper per module is needed.
It is a best practice to place the items in the module in sequential order. In this case, the BioSig assignment would be before the assessment/paper.
Click on the kabob menu for the module and click on Edit.
Enable "Students must move through requirements in sequential order" and add your BioSig Assignment and assessment/paper for the requirements. Click on "Update Module."
Continue these steps until you have the best practice of 3 - 5 BioSig assignments within your course.
Within the Canvas Commons is a BioSig import that contains Introduction for your students, sample assignments, and a built out module with requirements.
